SAVE THE DATE - June 27th & 28th! The Fairytale Fashionista will be ONCE AGAIN sponsoring the Dress Up Bar at KidsFest San Diego, benefiting the Chloe Nichols Foundation. We do have a few surprises in store for this year's event, so mark your calendars for another weekend full of MAGIC! xoxo
KidsFest San Diego invited the Fairytale Fashionista to help style their official photo booth for the National Foundation for Autism Research's #Race4Autism at Balboa Park. Since the theme was "BE A HERO" - we powered up our SuperHero Collection of costumes and accessories to WOW the runners, racers and supporters of the Autism community.
How could we NOT be in the a part of FAIRY TALES IN THE PARK to support the San Diego Civic Youth Ballet!! We loved their FAIRY TALE Village - especially since we hosted CINDERELLA'S CLOSET. What a magical afternoon in Balboa Park with amazing dance performances by the best ballerinas in SD!
It was all about the sisterly-love at the India Phillips Frozen Fairy Giving Festival to remember the birthday of the little princess at the Foundations's annual Fundraiser at the CDC School in Solana Beach. We were thrilled to be MAKE MAGIC with the attendees and had a ball playing dress-up with our FF collection!
Thanks to Raya Greenbaum Photography for this FABULOUS fotos!!
Visit The India Phillips Foundation for more information! xoxo
We LOVE finding Fairytale Fashionistas one FABULOUS slipper at a time...
And that is just what we did - at KidsFest San Diego 2014!!
Her Highness PR's Fairytale Fashionista was THRILLED to be the official sponsor of the Dress-Up Bar at KidsFest this year. After our debut at the last event, we couldn't wait to glam up our tent and roll out the runway to create a magical fashion palace fit for the most stylish princesses and superheroes!
After debuting Fairytale Fashionista at Kidsfest 2012, Founder Robin Laatz-Kozak took a bit of a hiatus last year and had the most darling set of twins - Carter & Quinn!! With the new babies and recent launch of her business First & Birch, "imaginative play the natural way," (see the Fairytale Fashionista Boutique Stand) Robin turned the operations and production over to The Chloe Nichols Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit to help further their mission of providing college scholarships for creativity and innovation while supporting various children's charities, including their 2014 partner, the Jenna Druck Center.
When I first spoke with Dharma Nichols, Director of Kidsfest, she told me that her daughter Chloe would have LOVED Fairytale Fashionista, spending probably the entire day inside our enchanting world of make-believe and glamorous fashion. The namesake of the organization tragically passed away at the age of eight from taking a "black box prescription." Dharma's mission and that of the Chloe Nichols Foundation is to bring awareness of these "black box" drugs to the public and encourage parents to seek out this information to avoid such a tragic loss, like that of an imaginative and fiercely determined little "girly" girl, named Chloe.
It is in her honor that we wish to share photos from Kidsfest San Diego, shot by Sarah Zimmer Photography from the event on Saturday, May 17th. We will post Sunday's photos very soon, shot by Diana Delzio Photography.
An extra-FAB thanks goes to the incredible fashion designer, Victoria Roberts of WishNow for creating "The Elsa" Dress for Fairytale Fashionista, inspired by the hit movie, "Frozen."
And to all the FF STYLISTAS who helped sprinkle a little magic on the festivities --- we couldn't have done it without you! Hugs, kisses and tons of love to Alexandra Smith, Isabella Petrini, Jeanna West, Bekah Van Bruggen, Chayna & Mike Bessette, Victoria Roberts & her fabulous mom & dad, Diana Delzio, LaVonne Crawford of Adorations Botanical Artistry, Vivian Konopasek, Laura & Jeff Shobar, Destiny Ferguson, Natalia Fulton, Ashley Lynch, Kylea Mariee, Sofia Romero, Lucy Delzio, Anthony Delzio, Jonathan LaPoma, and our youngest FF Stylistas - Brooklyn Kozak and Gabby Canepa!!! Thank you all so much!!! xoxo
Krikor Jabotian, a Lebanese Atelier, designs absolutely stunning fashions fit for Queens. He certainly pays attentions to the Princesses as well, with his Little Misses Collection. We fell in LOVE with his dream designs, fantastical couture for the Fairytale Fashionista! Can you imagine these gowns hanging in your little lady's closet?
Fiona's darling little name sounds just like she's the poster child for the Fantastical World of the Fairytale Fashionistas! Her 3rd Birthday Bash was totally magical, perfected by a sunny afternoon and her adorably fashionable friends make-believing and playing dress-up in Fiona's very own backyard palace! Tea party crown sandwiches and glitter wands included!
Fairytale Fashionista Stylistas Sue Jin Park and JoSalle Vindua (who also was our chef extraordinaire) had a ball playing with the little princesses.

Thank you to The Princess Project San Diego for this incredible event!
Boys will be boys...and in the land of the Fairytale Fashionista, they must have their own superpowered accessory! Now available as favors for our parties and superheroes in training, the FF collection of magical masks are customizable for any style. Of course, we want the little heroes to be prince charmings-in-waiting, but they seek a higher power... and we can't blame them for being EXACTLY who they want to be!
These two darlings are dressed in their St. Patty's Day BEST!!! What a little Lucky Leprechaun and Fairytale Fashionista they are!! I share their Irish roots... so of course I love them so much!!!
I just couldn't help but share a very old foto of me, circa 1985, dressed like a FAIRYTALE FASHIONISTA! I must have always knew this would be my fate... pink leotard, tutu & tights, black ballet flats and of course, the sparkling TIARA! Obviously, I've been finding my inner princess, my entire life!
